Dani Sarajeva – party

The “Days of Sarajevo” is an annual festival organized by the Youth Initiative for Human Rights (YIHR) in Belgrade, this year for the sixth time (the first festival was in 2007).

With the commemoration of the siege of Sarajevo as its background, the festival provides a platform to establish new ties between Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina by persons active in the arts, culture, media, civil society and politics, through critical presentations and dialogue on contemporary social and political issues facing the region.

The festival makes a particular effort to target young people in Serbia – a post-war generation that lacks political awareness, historical knowledge and contemporary cultural connections to establish new ties. The festival provides a dynamic didactic environment with many events about the contemporary political landscape, culture and the arts, and youth culture, in which to foster a new era of cooperation and pursue a so far illusive process of reconciliation – a process that Serbia, and its post-war generations, must drive.

This year, the Festival will be held from May 22nd until May 27th, in Belgrade. Please find more information at www.danisarajeva.com.

The Festival's Opening Party, with prominent DJs from Sarajevo, will be held In Cultural Centre „Grad“, on May 22nd, a t 10pm.
